The Marc Newson Unbreakable drinkware and new Alfresco plates and bowl received an enthusiastic reception at Ambiente Fair held in Frankfurt Germany from 13th to 17th February 2015.
Beautiful, Functional, Sustainable
The new plates and bowl use Palm’s 2 shot moulding technology and a new super-tough material from Dupont to create beautiful and useful products that people will value and enjoy using.
These beautiful and functional new plates and bowl are BPA-free and Melamine-free. The new super-tough and dense material from Dupont that is made from 30% corn waste, is 100% recyclable (melamine is 0% recyclable) and has full US and EU certification and the backing of Dupont. This material overcomes the scratch resistant constraint of existing plastic plates. In addition, these plates and bowl are guaranteed unbreakable, have the look and feel of ceramic (melamine’s surface is dull and uneven), are microwave safe (melamine not), are more stain resistant and do not have the negative toxicity perception of melamine.
And following on from the Marc Newson drinkware, they have a coloured non-slip ring on the base which cannot come off and will not collect debris from washing.
They make melamine obsolete.
